Laisr is a furniture brand created and owned by Torgny Fjeldskaar and Javier Alberich. The company is based in Basel, Switzerland. We do high-tech furniture designed and hand-made to stand the test of time. Our products are designed by Torgny Fjeldskaar, whose daytime job is to lead the design department at BMC Switzerland. Previously he has worked in automotive design for BMW and Mazda, and he also used to be in charge of Industrial Design at Cannondale Bicycles. Javier Alberich is our creative director for graphics. He used to work several years at Cannondale as well, and currently he is working as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator.

For decades the iconic blue and orange paint scheme has been closely linked to motorsport, with Gulf Oil Ltd sponsoring a vast number of race cars in various categories. Perhaps the most famous of them all is the Porsche 917 driven by Steve McQueen in the legendary 1971 movie „Le Mans“, which inspired our Special Edition Gulf CH.AIR, an official Gulf license product designed and manufactured by Laisr.
